Courses

Spring 2025
  1. CHEM 232: Sophomore-level Organic Chemistry for Undergraduate Students…this is a foundational organic chemistry course required for most undergraduate students. In addition to learning atomic and molecular orbital theories, students learn bonding patterns, molecular structures, functional groups, reactions, mechanisms, acids-bases reactions, etc.
  2. CHEM 530: Graduate Seminar in Organic Chemistry…Ph.D. students enrolled in this course learn tactics in presenting complex topics in synthetic organic chemistry; these students also improve their public speaking and critical thinking skills while learning strategies in retrosynthetic analysis, multi-step synthesis, and physical organic chemistry tools to aid in mechanistic rationales.
